Therapy for Emotional Eating, Body Image, and Food-Related Anxiety
You’ve tried every diet, exercise program, app, or system. Sometimes they even work—until they don’t.
You're ambitious and capable, but food has become a battleground. The shame, the rules, the mental load... it’s exhausting.
What you Might Be Experiencing
You obsess over food or your weight, even when you're busy succeeding in other areas of life
You restrict, binge, or avoid food altogether—without knowing why
You know what to do “logically,” but something emotional keeps sabotaging your progress
You feel like you're either “on” or “off” the wagon
You wonder if you’re addicted to food, or just constantly failing
You don’t trust your body—or your willpower
You’ve tried medications or weight-loss prescriptions, but the results didn’t last—or didn’t address the emotional side of the struggle.
My Approach
I use a blend of:
Schema Therapy to explore early patterns and unhelpful beliefs
IFS (Parts Work) to help you heal the parts that sabotage or criticize
ACT & CBT to support behavior change with compassion
A neurodivergent-affirming lens for those managing ADHD, sensory sensitivity, or rejection sensitivity
A trauma-informed, non-diet approach that prioritizes self-trust and sustainable healing
I’m also directive when needed. Many of my clients say they chose me because they were tired of just “talking”—they wanted to be challenged, encouraged, and supported into real change.
The Hidden Roots Behind the Struggle
This isn't just about food. It’s about:
– Perfectionism that makes failure unbearable
– Old trauma or grief stored in the body
– ADHD-related impulsivity, shame, or sensory struggles
– Deep beliefs that you're not worthy, lovable, or allowed to take up spaceSometimes, food becomes a form of comfort, control, or invisibility. Many of my clients are secretly using food to cope with loss, emotional neglect, or the pressure to look perfect.
And movement—once joyful—may now feel like punishment or obligation. For some, it’s all-or-nothing. For others, it's a source of shame. We’ll work together to rebuild a relationship with your body that includes movement for vitality, not punishment.
Who This is For
You don’t need a diagnosis or a “perfect” reason to come to therapy.
This work is for you if:
You feel trapped in cycles of emotional eating, restriction, or shame
You're tired of researching and “fixing” but never getting to the root
You’ve tried medications, fitness plans, or intuitive eating—but something deeper is holding you back
You're grieving the loss of a parent or afraid of illness and can’t find peace with food
You're ambitious, creative, driven—and ready to feel good in your body and your life
Next Steps
Taking the next step can feel daunting—especially when you’ve spent years trying every diet, app, or mindset shift, only to find yourself back in the same cycle. But this isn’t another plan to follow. It’s a chance to understand what’s underneath the struggle—with food, your body, and how you see yourself.
Therapy is more than talk—it’s a powerful investment in your future. When you heal the root patterns driving body image distress, emotional eating, or self-sabotage, everything begins to shift: your energy, your confidence, your relationships—even how you show up as a parent or partner.

Clinical Note:
While I work with a wide range of clients struggling with food, body image, and emotional eating, I do not provide treatment for active, medically complex eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa or bulimia. These conditions often require a multidisciplinary team and a higher level of care. If you're unsure whether your symptoms fall into that category, I’m happy to help you assess next steps or provide referrals to trusted specialists.
