You look like you’re holding it all together—but inside, you’re exhausted, anxious, and wondering why it feels so hard.

Welcome!
Therapy that helps you feel different—not just function better.
You’ve always been the one who figures things out, and the one who holds it all together.
Smart. Capable. Responsible.
But lately the mental load feels relentless.
Maybe you're stuck in loops of anxious overthinking.
Maybe perfectionism keeps raising the bar.
Maybe ADHD makes everything feel harder than it should.
For some people, intrusive thoughts or OCD rituals quietly take over daily life.
For others, it's the exhaustion of constantly managing expectations—at work, in relationships, and inside your own mind.
My approach blends practical tools, deep psychological insight, and neuroscience-informed strategies so you can understand what’s happening in your mind and nervous system—and begin changing the patterns that keep you stuck.
At Mighty Acorn Therapy in Parker, Colorado, I help adults, teens, and couples break out of these patterns and build a life that feels calmer, clearer, and more authentic.
About
Welcome and hello!
I’m Michelle—therapist, mom of four, home renovator, entrepreneur, and lifelong psychology nerd.
I specialize in helping adults and couples who look successful on the outside, but feel anxious, stuck, or mentally overwhelmed behind the scenes. Many of my clients are navigating ADHD, OCD patterns like intrusive thoughts or reassurance seeking, perfectionism, or the lingering impact of earlier life experiences that still shape how they think, feel, and relate today.
My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, a trauma-informed lens, and an understanding of the underlying neuroscience driving patterns like anxiety, compulsions, and emotional reactivity. This means we don’t just talk about what’s happening—we work to understand why your brain is responding the way it is and how to create meaningful, lasting change.
I blend clinical expertise with lived experience and genuine curiosity. Therapy with me is warm, honest, and focused on helping you reconnect with who you are beneath the pressure.
Your healing journey might just begin with one small, brave step.

Specialty therapy services include:
For ambitious adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or anxious beneath the surface. Therapy here blends insight, structure, and deep support to help you move forward.
Anxiety, Overthinking, Burnout & Panic
On the outside, you seem calm—but your mind doesn’t always slow down.
You may be overthinking, constantly pushing yourself, or starting to feel burned out from holding everything together.
Therapy can help you understand what’s driving that pressure, quiet the mental noise, and find a way of living that feels more sustainable.
You may still be functioning at work and in your relationships, but inside you feel flat, disconnected, or quietly critical of yourself.
Together we’ll explore the deeper patterns driving that disconnection and help you reconnect with yourself and feel more like you again.
Identity, Life Transitions & Feeling Lost
You’ve moved through life the way you were supposed to—but something feels off.
Maybe your role has changed. Your kids are grown. Your life looks different than it used to. Or you’re asking, “Is this it?”
You may also be navigating a loss—of a person, a relationship, or a version of life you thought you’d still have.
Even when things look fine on the outside, you might feel disconnected, untethered, or unsure of who you are now.
Therapy can help you make sense of this transition, process what’s been lost, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels steady and real.
Neurodivergent & the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)
You may identify as neurodivergent—or just feel like your mind works differently. You think deeply, notice a lot, and can become overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted trying to keep up. Therapy here helps you understand your brain and work with it instead of against it.
ADHD & Executive Function Support
You’re capable and insightful—but staying consistent, focused, or organized feels harder than it should. We’ll work with how your brain actually functions so things start to feel more manageable and less overwhelming.
OCD & Intrusive Thoughts (ERP Therapy)
When your mind gets stuck on certain thoughts or fears, it can feel relentless. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you break the cycle and regain a sense of control.
Couples Therapy for Growth-Oriented Partners
Whether you're neurodivergent or just stuck in conflict cycles, I help couples build better communication, understanding, and connection.
Healing from Emotionally Unavailable or Critical Parents
You didn’t choose the past, but it’s still shaping you. We’ll work to unlearn survival patterns and create a new relationship with yourself.
You’ve tried everything—tracking apps, nutrition plans, maybe even medication. Or maybe you’ve gone the other way: avoiding food altogether because everything feels like it might hurt you.
Whether it’s bingeing, restricting, obsessing over “clean eating,” or just giving up, the cycle is exhausting—and not really about food.
This specialty therapy service helps high-achieving adults untangle the deeper roots behind food struggles, weight shame, and body-based trauma. Together, we’ll explore the emotional patterns underneath so you can find a more peaceful, sustainable way forward.
